Cabin Amenities

Kitchens are fully equipped with all cooking and eating utensils, microwaves, toasters and coffee pots (with filters) as well as gas ranges and refrigerators.

The bathrooms have toilets (with toilet paper), sinks, and showers and/or bath tubs.

Each cabin has gas heat as well as a fireplace or wood burner. Firewood is provided and there are charcoal facilities.

Outside there is a picnic table, porch or deck furniture, charcoal grill, fire ring with wood benches and covered firewood bins.

The water is pure spring-fed and is tested regularly. Excellent for drinking.

Each cabin has a coat rack, hat rack and luggage racks.

Because of our remote location, we do not have television or cell phone reception.  Each cabin does have a TV and DVD player.

We offer bicycles for a nominal rental fee and canoes, kayaks and innertubes at discount rates to our cabin guests.

Cabin #8 is a one bedroom cabin with two double beds; kitchen; one full bathroom; one half bathroom; a large living room with two sleeper sofas and a stone fireplace.

Cabin #8 is a spacious cabin. The living area is knotty pine with a cathedral ceiling. The kitchen and bedroom is log. Hardwood floors throughout the cabin and a stone fireplace. One bedroom with two double beds and two double sleeper sofas in the living room; two bathrooms, one full and one half. This cabin is situated near one of the play areas and has a yard that's naturally adorned with huge rocks.

Maximum occupancy:  8 people.  Cabin occupancy includes babies, children, and adults.

Rates:  $240.00/night or $1,000/week

Child Friendly Accommodations

Cook Riverside Cabins is very child friendly. Our 15 acres features large yard areas to play games, run about and explore. Two small playgrounds have swings, sand boxes, play houses and other toys. The playgrounds are in view of almost all of the 19 cabins. Part of the grounds is wooded with some boulder areas that are a safe place to play. Kids can have fun bike riding, playing kick ball, volleyball, bocce, badminton and Frisbee.

The Wild and Scenic Clarion River adjoins the property for great fishing. In the event of bad weather, each cabin has a TV (with AUX outlets) and DVD player. There is no TV reception so you will need to bring DVD’s and your own game controllers. The adjacent secondary roads are a distance away.

Visit our own Cooksburg Café on the property for Hershey’s ice cream (the best in Cook Forest) and very good fast food. Our gift and snack store, Cooksburg Dry Goods, has books, souvenirs, unique beverages and candy to delight all guests.
